It is our aim to produce a quality product - to an agreed specification within an agreed timescale at an agreed price. Our Quality System has been designed to enable us to consistently achieve this aim.
The Westdale Printing Group Quality Management System has achieved registration to the requirements of the internationally recognised Quality Standard ISO9001 - 2000. The system is subject to independent third party audit to ensure that we maintain the requirements of the standard and achieve continual improvement.
The Quality System can be defined as a set of policies and procedures that control the production processes - from the initial enquiry all the way through to despatch.
Our Quality System provides assurance to customers that activities that have a direct bearing on the quality of the final product are being controlled and performed effectively. A comprehensive audit schedule ensures that quality procedures are adhered to and provide a great tool to identify opportunities for improvement.
At Westdale we believe that accurate colour reproduction is an essential aspect of producing a quality product. Our initial approach concentrated on acheiving calibration to match our presses, however, the number of variables involved in each press makes this impossible. This is why we have adopted the ISO standard for colour reproduction and process control (12647-2) as our benchmark, whether producing proofs or on press.
Our Directors adopt a "Hands On" approach to production - ensuring that your project receives the attention to detail it deserves throughout it's entire production cycle. We believe communication is the key to achieving consistent quality - our daily production meetings involve all key personnel and are designed to schedule, monitor and control every aspect of production. This approach ensures that customers are kept informed of the progress of their projects at all times.
Employees in all functions contribute to our success - we actively encourage our employees to contribute to the development of our quality system. All our employees are made fully aware of the requirements of their roles and are provided with the training required to guarantee the quality of your product.
Our modern Management Information System allows us to record and analyse every aspect of every job - providing valuable data to track performance and ensure traceability.
Quality assurance sampling is maintained throughout the production process - pass sheets are signed off on press with periodic time stamped copies collated as part of every process operation.
We believe that maintaining and improving the quality system is key to achieving enhanced performance. Quality performance is monitored continuously and monthly reports are submitted to the Board of Directors for review. Progress in achieving our quality objectives and targets is regularly monitored to ensure that continual improvement is achieved - creating an environment where quality really is the focus of our efforts.
